When I'm 59 (and a half)

First retirement account opened as a contractor - building future security finally becomes unavoidable reality.

I just opened a traditional IRA. My first retirement account. I've (stupidly) avoided the 401ks provided by my employers in the past. My new position as a contractor doesn't provide any 401k access, so an IRA is the only way to go. At least it's a start. Planning for the distant future is always hard for me. I feel like I should try to enjoy the moment as much as possible. We'll see how it goes:)
